assembly - Machine Cycles for the DJNZ instruction in 8051? 2 or 3? -

so opcodes sheet provided our instructor , searches online tells me djnz instruction takes 2/3 machines cycles execute. can tell me when takes 2 , when takes 3 machine cycles? example codes helpful too!!
